Help & Information

Searching Online for UK Reports

  • Searching by company name

To search by company name leave the Match Type set at "Match Beginning" and enter the company name in the Company Name field.

TIP:Entering less information is sometimes better than the whole name eg. starbucks coffee NOT starbucks coffee company (UK) limited. This will give you more results to choose from.

  • Searching by company number

When searching by company registration number just enter the number into the field labelled Business Number.

TIP: All registration numbers must be 8 digits and shorter ones should be prefixed by leading zeros. eg. 7855456 should be entered as 07855456. Scottish and Northern Ireland companies must be prefixed by SC or NI and leading zeros until you have 8 characters in total eg. SC045154.

  • Searching for non-limited businesses

If you can't find a non-limited business searching by Company Name, try entering just the postcode or phone number to see if any matches appear that could be the company you are looking for.
